Who would be you?
Who would be you?

Father, take me elsewhere
Bring me there!
If not, I am caught
In deep despair
Our loneliness tends to be
Wanting to be somebody...
Someone else
Someone new
Someone fresh
A different "you"
Somewhere great
Somewhere small
Somewhere else
Is best of all
Some say, go
Some say, stay
Whatever, we want
It another way
But Jesus holds my hand today
Father leans down as if to say:
If I want that for them, not you
What is that, my son, to you?
If you would turn and run away
Who would in your place here stay?
That's yours to choose, child
Yours to decide
But if I were you,
I'd let pride die
And though its hard
It takes some time...
For what if all were them or you
Then who would be the other, hmm?
If you go chasing others too
Then who, my friend...
Who would be you?
