Why did the prodigal try to break out?

He did it as we, because we doubt

Why did he take what was his

And frivolously pour it out?

He did it as we, because we doubt

The reason we are such a mess

Is simply cuz we doubt

Why did the world choose to stay outside the boat? 

Why did Noah call them, implore them, yet remain alone? 

Why did people die when they didn't have to? 

Why? Well its the same for me, and for you

We doubt

The reason we are such a mess

Is simply cuz we doubt

And I, in my own life, left "home" as well

I chose to chain myself

I chose it, I alone

And in my downward spiral 

He came and rescued me

The greatest gift I have

Was His grace then unto me

I believe

I believe

No matter what I see

I choose now to believe

When Jesus became flesh and died upon a cross

When that tomb they laid him in sealed him in...

I died there with him, people

We all, because he paid

And just as He was killed there

Three days past, He was raised!

Sin has no longer a place

For Jesus truly raised!

You think, as oft I did, that this world, it is all

You think, as oft I too, that all is but a loss

But if we read the scriptures

They ancient stories tell

If you believe in Jesus, 

You'll 'ere live as well!
