Own your guilt
Own your guilt
by Joel Howard
Guilt is like a friend
It comes and doesn't relent
Until we stop pretending we're okay
It knocks at our door
and silently implores,
"Sinner, there's another way!"
A soul with no guilt sensors
Is like a body with no nervous center
A hand that reaches for the fire
to be burned only because
no nerves had the love to tell the brain,
"Hand's not okay!"
Guilt can be our signpost today!
Ask the Lord what guilt is saying
Let us own our guilt today
