Unspoken expectation of shame
Unspoken expectation
of shame

The biggest elephant in the room
The nonverbal language between me and you
The chains around us
The void between us
Shame is – shame is
The nonverbal language between me and you
The chains around us
The void between us
Shame is – shame is
The biggest topic of conversation
Even though no one hears what we’re saying
Our greatest grief
Our greatest relief
When shame leaves – when shame leaves
But until we realize in Jesus
We can lay down our lives to the Healer
Until we take our guard down
Shame remains the talk of the town!
The unspoken expectation
No one knows where it came from
No one can rise above it
Nor knows how to get rid of it
Shame, shame, shame
We don’t know his name
But he knows ours
Even though no one hears what we’re saying
Our greatest grief
Our greatest relief
When shame leaves – when shame leaves
But until we realize in Jesus
We can lay down our lives to the Healer
Until we take our guard down
Shame remains the talk of the town!
The unspoken expectation
No one knows where it came from
No one can rise above it
Nor knows how to get rid of it
Shame, shame, shame
We don’t know his name
But he knows ours
