Lessons from an overextension fast

In late July of 2019 I took a break from overextending - its not the first I've done so and I am sure it won't be the last, but every once and awhile I like to pull back and not reach out as much as I usually do. It is a way for me to find my own wilderness with Jesus, to ponder what he is saying to me and to contemplate much of what he says without immediately sharing it with others. On this particular overextension fast, I wrote down about a dozen statements or questions - each of which is a thought to be contemplated while retreating with Jesus. I did so throughout my days and found them to be reassuring, joy-building and calming as I walk out my life with God. They are now being expanded into poem format for your edification (click each one to open). I hope you find them thought-provoking and edifying as well!
